What a difference a day makes. I don’t plan on even sticking my nose outside today. I took the picture from inside my house so the wind wouldn’t blow me away.
As turbulent as that water is today there were little ducks happily looking for food by my pier.
I must tell you about the cranes and heron checking out the pond: They have been congregating on the Harbour Drive side of the pond everyday for a week, just looking. I never see them eat anything. It had stopped raining giving me a chance to quietly walk near them to take a picture. They stopped looking into the pond and give me a very suspicious look and flew off before I could focus the camera. They were looking at something: someone had thrown the insides of a refrigerator into their pond. I hope we can get it out before it becomes a trap for one of our feathered friends.
